:: SAVE GANGA CAMPAIGN ::

The Ganges is not just a river in India, it is considered as mother. The holy mother who purifies a human being by taking away all his sins. A person can wash away all his sins just by taking a dip in the holy Ganges.

            Here goes the famous line “If you have belief, I am your mother Ganges and if you don’t, I am just a flowing river". So the divine existence of this holy river is because people have faith and belief in the sanctity of the river. They consider it holy, which has come to this world to take away their pain and give them her blessings. But the sanctity of the river is being violated, and there are several factors responsible for this. The several challenges or confronting the holy Ganges are Pollution, Privatization of Ganges Water, Construction of Tehri Dam etc.

    DISCUSSING THE ISSUE AT HAR-KI-PAURI IN HARIDWAR

The holy water of this holy river is getting polluted. This is happening because of the irresponsibility of the government and the people. All sorts of wastes i.e. industrial waste, commercial waste, household waste, sewage waste is being dumped into the river which makes the water of the river polluted.

  Now is the time when we have to think that when the very heart and soul of India, the Indian culture, the Indian tradition is getting polluted, what is it that we can do to stop this pollution and to stop the violation of the sacredness of holy Ganges.

 We through “Bharat Jagriti Mission” have been carrying this message that all that is happening is wrong . May it be pollution of the Ganges or privatization or construction of Tehri dam . We have been spreading the awareness about the benefit of getting the Ganges water clean. We have been creating awareness why privatization of  Ganges water is wrong and why the construction of Tehri dam is a wrong step. From time to time we organize meetings,  seminars and workshop for this.
